The House is frequently full and there is usually a waiting list. As soon as you know you need lodging, it is best to call and put your name on the wait list. Staff will give you instructions on how to proceed once your name is on the list. Families are usually placed on a first-come, first-served basis, however exceptions may be made at the discretion of the House Manager based on extenuating circumstances. House staff will verify the hospital appointments and periodically review the status of the patients' treatment with the hospitals.
What is the cost of staying at the Ronald McDonald House?
Families are asked to make a donation of $15 a night. Donations can be made by cash, check or charge (Visa and MasterCard only). Ronald McDonald House is an approved Medicaid and Salud vendor, so your stay may be covered by them.
What time can I check into the House?
Families can check in between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. M-F and between 9 a.m and 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday when there is a staff person on duty to help them register and give them a tour of the facility. Check-in takes about 20 minutes, so plan accordingly.
How many people can stay in the room?
Only one room is allotted to each patient and family. Room capacity is limited to a maximum of five guests; only three persons may be 12 or older.
